Connell
Connell is a small rural community in Eastern Washington with a population of 5535. The community was established in the mid to late 1800's as a railroad stop called Palouse Junction. Much of the old town was destroyed by fire in 1880.
The community later became known as Connell; named after a local Northern Pacific trainman residing in the community at that time. Connell was incorporated in 1910 and has grown 28% in the last ten years. It is a vibrant progressive community that is preparing itself to take advantage of opportunities in the new century.
